Stillness, Formlessness, Magic

This month, we explore Stillness, Formlessness, and the Magic of Essence — the quiet places in you that know how to orient, evolve, and remember.
Can you catch the blissful peace amidst the chaos?
Can you remember the truth beneath culture’s noise?
Can you feel the inner light that’s always been there?
We’ve been taught to respond to the world through competition, identity, and fear — as if we have to fight our way into becoming.
But our biology knows better.
The operating system of the body says:
You can respond to sensation without the cultural narrative.
You can rise. You can feel. You can guide from within.
A Week of Loss, Insight & Remembering
I was supposed to speak with a new widow the other day. She had to cancel because her son was sick, and she needed to help him to bed. His little body was expressing the loss of his dad, a man I knew well, and I could feel it — every particle of me recognizing that grief because my own particles learned it very young. The ones that froze & couldn't cry when my mother left her body. The ones that didn’t have anyone to climb into bed with.
In this little one's grief, I felt my own. I found the particles that are entangled with his and I told him how brave he was. Thanked him for expressing. I sent him a signal that childhood grief can grow wisdom and wonder and that his father would help him learn how to be a signal guide...
Where Formlessness Comes In
A few weeks ago, I lost consciousness. Perimenopause is a wild journey! My body fell. My head hit the floor. And when I woke, I entered a moment of exquisite formlessness — a consciousness unbound by identity, words, faces. A moment before gravity returns. A moment like death without the grief, perhaps.
I remembered what it feels like to be pure sensation.
Pure bliss.
Pure wave form. And then I felt everyone’s worry, and the weight of the world came back into form.
Since that moment, I’ve been softening into connection differently. Noticing our energetic bodies with more clarity. Using the language of energy with another layer of culture removed.
That moment is guiding this month.
Stillness and formlessness isn't the absence of life — it is the emergent field that holds it all… us all.
The Magic of Stillness
This month, we integrate through meditation not to escape the world but to inhabit it differently — through the quantum and the somatic:
✨ Bliss
✨ Love
✨ Peace
✨ Wonder
✨ Compassion
✨ Appreciation
✨ Inner Light
We slow down to feel how energy dances inside us.
To sip these states like a warm, nourishing soup.
To remember the photons within us — the subtle light every cell emits.
Just like snow arriving in the darkest time of year:
a reminder that there is sparkle in the dark,
and stars inside of us too.
If you’ve read My Stroke of Insight or watched neuroanatomist, Jill Bolte Taylor’s TED Talk, you know the poetry:
Peace is only a thought away. Silence the left-mind story, and you find the field beneath.
Culture says you must fight your way forward — sword and shield. Judgingin us into inhabiting the “Good girl” or “bad girl.” It says, "get yours."
Biology says, "I call bullshit." You didn’t need those tools when you were in womb, in initial becoming. Your growth didn't depend on the judgements. Find the system of evolution your body activated to grow itself in Earthly connection. Instead of psychological heavy armor, let your cellular system decide how much condensing or expanding is appropriate.
Lay down the story with all the roles your family systems taught you to play. Instead try these roles on for size:
You are essence.
You are light.
You are wave.
You are form.
You are Signal Guide. Hmmm.... what could that mean?
A Glimpse Into This Month’s Practices
Community Call: Saturday December 6th · 10-11:30am PST · The Art of the Practice: Fridays 9-9:45am PST inside The Practice & Practitioner Memberships
We’ll explore sensation in meditation through the quantum-somatic continuums that govern both matter and consciousness:
- Expand ↔ Condense
Is your body moving toward or away?
- Wave ↔ Particle
Are you in wave possibility or “collapsed” into form?
- Coherence ↔ Decoherence
Is your system harmonious or overwhelmed?
- Entangled ↔ Independent
Are you sharing a state, or standing sovereign?
- Flux ↔ Stability
Is this emotion (flux) or essence (stable)?
- Localized ↔ Delocalized
Is this energy yours or someone else’s?
- High ↔ Low Frequency
How energized or calming is this feeling?
- Order ↔ Chaos
Are you emerging or reorganizing?
- Emergence ↔ Dissolution
What’s becoming, and what’s passing?
- Attraction ↔ Repulsion
What pulls you in? What sets a boundary?
These aren’t metaphors — this is your biology, your energy, your essence, dancing with the universe.
This month, we learn to feel these continuums in our body, not as concepts but as direct experience — the “dance steps” of your inner intelligence leading us to love. It’s less about the story we place on these sensations, and more about the sensations themselves. Responding from noticing what parts of this system are activated.
